ShaX

Abstract

This is an application program for calculating message digests of files running on MacOX X. It runs on Mac OS X 10.5 (Leopard) and Mac OS X 10.6 (Snow Leopard). It can calculate MD5, SHA1, SHA224, SHA256, SHA384 and SHA512.

You can get message digests by drag'n drop files into ShaX's window.

Usage

Select files by "Select File" in File menu, or just drag and drop files into the window.

You can select multiple files. But you can't select folders.

Change the hash method by list in the left of toolbar.

To search hash values, input the hash value in the search box then press enter. Matched lines will be selected.

Installing

Extract from zipped file. Then put the application in an appropriate folder (such as Applications folder).

Uninstalling

Put the ShaX application into Trash.

Also put ~/Library/Preferences/jp.matsh.shax.plist into Trash.

Requirement

Mac OS X 10.5 (Leopard) or Mac OS X 10.6(Snow Leopard)

Tested on Mac OS X 10.5.8 and 10.6.3.
